"Qi Gong' means 'energy work'.
'Qi' (chi) denotes the Life Force Energy and 'Gong' (goong) means to work or cultivate. Drawing on thousands of years of Chinese Daoist wisdom and practice, Qi Gong provides a time-tested means of cultivating and expanding the body's life force energy along with the mind, emotions and spirit. Tai Chi and Acupuncture are just some of the better-known applications of Qi Gong. Others are focused exercise forms designed to optimize the body's internal energy flow and balance. Qi Gong, (meaning 'working with Life force energy') is an traditional Daoist field of learning and practice that allows you to develop an awareness of the subtleties of that Life Force energy that already pulses through and flows all around you. The practice of Qi Gong gently guides you to learn of harnessing and working with the Life Force energy, rather than being controlled or limited by it. Kadama holds regular classes and training sessions in Qigong, for students wishing to develop skills and cultivate their energy. |
